Accountant (Temporary)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounting professional to help a client with a transition in their accounting department. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of standard accrual-based month end accounting. This position is a temporary role that will last between 1 and 4 months. Pay will range between $30 and $35/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the close process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the standard accrual monthly close process.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
