Job Title : Test Engineer
Location : Aurora, IL
Salary : $75,000-90,000
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our client's organization in the Aurora, IL area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, execute, and document effective test plans and procedures.
- Define clear goals for all aspects of a product test and develop the right sequence of steps for proper execution.
- Analyze and document test results for products and components during pre and post development.
- Develop, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure repeatable and reproducible test methods / results.
- Propose, evaluate, and assess solutions to prevent problem recurrence.
- Meet with the product development team to clearly define product testing parameters / procedures.
- Execute test plans and tasks involving various electrical and environmental tests in accordance with industry and / or internal specifications.
- Troubleshoot, recreate performance issues / bugs, and assist in root cause analysis.
- Assist engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions.
- Coordinate and perform tests at the quality control stage of the manufacturing process.
- Perform QC to ensure that selected products and components meet the required standards.
- Develop ongoing quality control testing procedures to be incorporated into the regular production process.
- Work closely with management to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables.
- Help manage Engineering Change Notifications as needed.
- Assist design engineers in creating and updating work instructions, incoming / outgoing inspections, and other QA documentation.
- Perform various electrical / mechanical / environmental tests including, but not limited to : Circuit board, Insulation Resistance / Dielectric Withstanding Voltage, Corrosion testing, Salt Spray Test, Dust & Water Ingress, Temperature and Relative Humidity.
