LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Warehouse and Systems Manager role open for our client in the Hamburg, PA region. The Warehouse and Systems Manager oversees a multi-line manufacturing facility and oversees a minimum of 4 direct reporting supervisors in a 24/7 operation. This role will oversee logistics, RMA’s and any discrepancies coinciding. Must have experience in industrial automation equipment such as VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, Siemens and E80 experience HIGHLY preferred, in a multiple line manufacturing environment, preferably in food and/or beverage.
Successful candidates will have a proven record of managing all inventory cycle counts, discrepancies, and manufacturing functionality tracking in the Warehouse Management System (SAP experience HIGHLY preferred) experience in a manufacturing setting for a minimum of 7 years, TMS logistics experience for a minimum of 5 years, as well as personnel management for a minimum of 5 years all within a manufacturing setting.
Additionally, the role focuses as a leader for process and procedure improvement implementation, KPI monitoring and reporting, forklift trainings and certifications, and is highly safety oriented. Scheduling will primarily consist of a Monday through Friday schedule; however, the successful candidate will have flexibility to meet manufacturing demands and meet with other shift supervisors as needed.
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for Warehouse Management System (WMS) including but not limited to; structuring, dashboard creation and implementation, overall functionality as well as process and procedure improvement within the WMS.
- Build, encourage and maintain a safe work environment and culture.
- If technical support is needed for site operations, coordinate appropriately to diminish any downtime of operations.
- Act as subject matter expert for WMS implementations and modifications.
- Oversees operations in warehouse such as training, shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety.
- Foster a positive culture and work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of inventory including cycle counts, replenishments, shortages, discrepancies, etc.
- Oversee scheduling of personnel to meet demands and goals.
- Oversee, document and train personnel on forklift operators, including conducting road tests and certifications as well as manage forklift audits and safety checks.
- Establish best practices in operational procedures for incoming/outgoing shipments, handling/crating/boxing of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current at all times.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with department heads to ensure warehouse activities such as production, sales, records control and purchasing are reported accurately.
- Oversee month end inventory, cycle counts and discrepancies reporting to ensure inventories are reconciled.
- Oversee maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe warehouse including cleaning, painting, labeling, marking and utilizing safety methods to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Participate regularly in planning personnel safety and plant planning activities.
- Actively provide lead times, product availability, and allocation to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with different teams and levels of management as well as be the main point of contact for all regional stakeholders.
- Must have a leadership mentality willing to collaborate, motivate and network internally and externally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
- REQUIRED - Automated machinery troubleshooting including VFD’s, PLC’s etc. – E80 and Siemens experience preferred.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within a warehouse management system, SAP HIGHLY preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a multi-line manufacturing facility, preferable in food and/or beverage.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing personnel within a multi-line manufacturing facility, preferably in food and/or beverage.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing scheduling of personnel within a multi-line manufacturing facility, preferable in food and/or beverage.
- REQUIRED – inventory management in a manufacturing setting within a WMS system for a minimum of 5 years.
- Must have proven logistics experience.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Proven excellence in process execution, planning and strategizing.
- Must have strong statistical forecasting experience.
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/Process improvement tools experience highly preferred.
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management utilization.
- Must have experience in managing direct reports.
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
