What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Engineer position at LHH?
LHH is actively seeking a Welding Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Rolling Meadows area.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robotic welding processes, working with cross-fuctional teams, focusing in process improvement and production goals.
This is an hourly position with approximately 10 hours of overtime a week.
Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot and optimize robotic welding systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Create / maintain parameters and procedures
- Design processes, fixtures and tooling
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software
- Conduct trainings and provide technical support
- Support safety throughout the facitlity
- Additional duties as needed
