Infrastructure Engineer - Atlassian

Role: Atlassian Specialist (Jira & Confluence)

Day Rate: 600 - 650 (inside)

Contract Length: 12 months

Clearance: Eligible for SC

Location: 2 days on site, open to nationwide (multiple locations available)

We are currently seeking an experienced Jira/Confluence Specialist for one of our clients to lead the migration and optimisation of its Atlassian setup within their digital programme. The role involves both technical administration and business-focused enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration to a rationalised Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) environment, including potential cloud migration.
• Design and implement bespoke Jira projects
• Integrate Jira with ServiceNow for strategic incident management.
• Perform performance tuning and regular upgrades.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to co-design workflows, improve processes, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Provide ongoing admin support, including managing user requests and permissions.

Essential Skills

• Deep expertise in Jira and Confluence administration.
• Experience with Atlassian plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner using Groovy).
• Proven track record of safely migrating Jira/Confluence projects, users, and spaces.
• Strong understanding of workflow design, security roles, and admin best practices.
