We are looking for a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Lhoist North America. This is a challenging opportunity for someone with experience in heavy manufacturing and/or mining.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting, inspecting, and operating equipment in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work place, identifying hazards, and reporting them to management.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied working conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and resolving problems
- Inspecting and cleaning railcars
- Operating front-end loaders and bobcats for cleaning and maintenance
- Operating end dump trucks and oil treatment systems
- Completing daily equipment checks and submitting reports
- Performing general maintenance and enforcing safety policies
- Providing on-the-job training and verifying training completion
- Supporting other utility and plant operators
Additional responsibilities include:
- Cleaning areas under conveyor belts and around dry plants
