Responsibilities & Expectations
- Must comply with company, state and governmental health and safety regulations, policies and procedures at all times
- Knows and understands how to operate bagging machine; packaging lime in 50 lb bags
- Knows and understands how to operate super sacker packaging machine; packaging lime in super sacks
- Knows and understands how to load trucks, vans, flatbeds and boxcars with bagged lime; stacking in a manner to not cause the bags to fall during shipment
- Knows and understands how to direct trucks, vans boxcars and flatbeds into correct position for loading
- Knows and understands how to prepare trucks, vans, boxcars, and flatbeds for loading
- Knows and understands how to close doors, certifies completed required load and uses seals as required
- Knows and understands that you are required to maintain a safe and clean work area
- Knows and understands that you may need to perform minor maintenance repair and servicing to bagging machines
- Knows and understands that when you are not bagging, you will perform clean up duties in the plant as required
- Knows and understands that you will need to assist in cleaning out kiln, tearing old brick and replacing with new brick
- Knows and understands that you will need to repetitively lift 50 lb bags and place them in proper loading position
- Knows and understands that you will be required to do all work assigned in relation to this work in a neat and orderly manner
- Knows and understands that you must perform related work and clean up duties as assigned
- Knows and understands how to operate forklift safely and efficiently
- Knows and understands that you must report any potential operational or safety problem to supervision
- Knows and understands that you must comply with company, state, or governmental health and safety regulations
- Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
- Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations
- Must be capable of working shift work, overtime or seven days a week, if needed
- Must be capable of working in dusty and noisy areas with provided safety equipment
- Must be able to work outside under hot, cold, or wet weather conditions.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and written
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this job
- Must be able to abide by all LNA policies and procedures
