What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIL Applications Engineer position at LHP Engineering Solutions?
LHP Engineering Solutions is a global Functional Safety leader committed to creating safe transportation with developing technologies such as Electric Vehicles and Advance Driver Assistance Systems. At LHP we ensure Functional Safety and Cyber Security development of these systems and technologies by leveraging our core expertise with widely accepted standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE, ISO / SAE 21434.
We are expanding our team and seek a HIL Applications Engineer who will initially be based in Kennesaw, Georgia and will :
- Plan and implement HIL solutions
- Assisting in developing processes, procedures, and related documentation for the smooth operation of the projects
- Analyze requirements and designing documents and business objectives to prioritize test activities for each iteration
- Confirm that new software features integrate with control system to meet functionality requirements
- Develop tests to ensure quality, functionality, and safety of software using manual and automated test platforms
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts
- Ensure process compliance and configuration management
- Assist in the use of data management design, utilization measurement, and other tasks as identified to support the successful launch and integration of a HIL
- Ensure traceability of test procedures and test results to requirements and product variants
- Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance performance
- Perform root cause analysis, error correction, functional, and risk analysis of system level problems (5 why’s, fishbone, etc.)
- Participate in Test Readiness Reviews
- Perform data analysis and generate test reports
- Perform new functionality, regression, and verification testing on test bench / HIL / vehicle
- Provide technical support, guidance, and collaboration for all software / hardware implementation for development, test, performance and testing environments
- Apply quality assurance techniques to the work
- Compile data and defining changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing, or overhaul processes for current and new products
- Coordinate input from internal / external customers to better understand customer needs and / or perceptions
- Mentor others
- Participate in meetings, projecting an image of professionalism, capability, and competence
