We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our finance team. As the Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving strategic financial decision-making. This position requires a high level of financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Work Environment : Working in person with the Executive Leadership Team to Oversee all financial transactions for 3 companies in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
    • Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement), ensuring compliance with accounting standards
    • Accounting Management : Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and reconciliation of accounts.
    • Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Internal Controls : Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Month-End / Year-End Close : Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
    • Tax Compliance : Coordinate tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate income tax, and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
    • Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving or revenue enhancement. Present insights to senior management for decision-making.
    • Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of business professionals, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed in their roles.
    • Audit Coordination : Work with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring all audit requirements are met.
    • Process Improvement : Continuously assess accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
    • Qualifications :

    • QuickBooks Online Certified (or willing to obtain certification)
    • Accounting or Business Degree
    • 3 years of experience
    • CPA Certification a plus
    • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficient in accounting software
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic knowledge of payroll and tax regulations.
