Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing floors.
- Dusting furniture, surfaces, and equipment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
- Washing windows, blinds, and other fixtures.
- Picking up trash and ensuring proper disposal.
- Cleaning furnishings like chairs, desks, and lockers.
Maintenance:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
- Checking building equipment for normal operating conditions.
- Replacing damaged or broken fixtures and equipment.
- Operating custodial equipment, such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners.
- Moving and arranging furniture for events.
Safety and Security:
- Monitoring building activities and ensuring the safety of students and staff.
- Securing the building at the end of the day.
- Reporting any safety concerns or abnormal conditions to supervisors.
Other Duties:
- Restocking supplies and cleaning materials.
