Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, trauma, and behavioral health concerns. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. The Counselor will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being of clients while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidencebased practices.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients.
• Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to assist clients in managing their symptoms.
• Offer support for clients dealing with PTSD and other traumarelated issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay updated on best practices in clinical counseling and behavioral health.

Skills:

• Strong background in clinical counseling with experience in individual group counseling.
• Proficient inpatient assessment techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and practices.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding related to behavioral health services.
• Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment while also being selfmotivated.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Compassionate approach to counseling with a strong desire to help individuals improve their mental health.

Things to keep in mind:

• This is intensive communitybased work
• Pay for CADC depends on your case load, you can make $32k $100k annually.
• It is a nonpaid Orientation/Training for 1 day (MANDATORY)
• We DO NOT pay for mileage
• Group is a 2/3 times a week (each session is 1012 Comsumer's max)
