Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products
- Monitor scrap rates and material defects, providing statistical evaluations and corrective actions
- Assist in improving work instructions (WI’s) to enhance product performance and reduce waste
- Support and train production staff on quality procedures and process improvements
- Conduct final inspections and perform defect analysis using Pareto and statistical analysis tools
- Utilize and maintain measurement instruments in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Monitor and audit production operations, suggesting improvements to quality control tools
- Manage and calibrate measurement instruments used in production and quality assurance
- Assist in maintaining ISO-compliant documentation for the Quality Manual
- Communicate hourly reports to the Management Team
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek assistance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and statistical software packages
- Strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5Why’s, and Fishbone analysis
- Experience reading blueprints and GD&T drawings
- Ability to train and collaborate with production staff on quality processes
- Manufacturing experience in a technical role (PV module manufacturing experience preferred)
