Overview
SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced hands on Manager to oversee operations of a locally owned meat market.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, particularly as a Meat Cutter and Meat manager. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage a small diverse team, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The manager will be assisting at the front counter, filling in as meat cutter in a pinch, be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, responsible for ensuring coolers/product is prepped and stocked, manage product orders and deliveries, and oversee staff while fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the market ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee inventory control and manage stock levels to minimize waste while ensuring product availability.
- Assist in hiring new staff members, providing training and development opportunities.
- Manage operations, including food preparation standards and compliance with health regulations, city and state regulations.
- Utilize POS systems for tracking sales, managing transactions, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with the owner to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency.
Skills
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Experience in personnel laws (federal and state)
- Knowledge of operations and food service best practices.
- Proficient in using POS systems for managing sales and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
