Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meat preparation and handling. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared, packaged, and presented to our customers while adhering to strict food safety standards. Customer service is our number one priority and therefore backing up the front of the store will be necessary. We are a small locally owned business looking to continue decades of quality service to the community and beyond!
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
- Ensure all meat products are packaged properly for display and sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including tools and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines throughout all processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production or the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Proficient in using knives and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
