The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in providing professional leadership to organize- administer- supervise- and evaluate a creative and effective school culture. To accomplish these tasks- the Assistant Principal works closely with the community- staff- and administration of USD 480.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligible for a valid Kansas teaching license with a building leadership endorsement.
- Strong background in instructional leadership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in collaboration with staff members.
- Ability to manage change effectively.
- Record of building strong community- student- and staff relationships.
Requirements may include prolonged sitting or standing, physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, climbing stairs, stooping, bending and reaching; also includes travel.
EVALUATION:
Will be evaluated by the Principal in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy.
Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated superior performance in previous leadership roles- particularly in the areas of leadership- communication- school climate- and building relationships.
