FLSA: Non Exempt
Reports To: Accounts Payable Manager, Senior Staff Accountant
Physical Requirements: Must sit at a computer for an extended period of time
Hours of Work: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as needed
Pay Range: $16.14-22.50
Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk II assists in processing either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable transactions in the Business Office. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines and good communication and people skills.
Job Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED. No experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Prepare month-end accrual entries.
- Resolve unmatched invoices by following established procedures.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Assist with various general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Interface with internal departments as well as external companies to ensure reliability of financial information.
- Provide information for internal and external audits as needed.
- Attend training as deemed necessary.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
