State Director
Location: State of Delaware
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Physical Requirements: General good health. May be required to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm, weekend work as needed, on-call and holiday work as needed.
Pay Range: $79,250-132,000
Job Summary:
Ensure that all programs in the State of Delaware meet quality and regulatory compliance, with all regulatory bodies; state and federal. Ensure sound fiscal management to budget. Ensure a collaborative and positive culture and oversight of all employees
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred.
- Five years progressive administrative experience as well as two years working with people with developmental disabilities required.
- Proficient administrative skills, including budgeting and financial oversight of programs, and knowledge of DDDS regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Delaware state driver's license.
Major Responsibilities:
- Direct and participate in the development of quality, person-focused programs
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance with all state, federal and agency requirements
- Develop and guide a quality leadership team in providing exceptional services and supporting cultural standards of the agency
- Develop and manage fiscal resources and budget, including all facets of operational expenses and revenue.
- Directs and evaluates provision of services, with the management team, to ensure quality and development
- Create and support a culture in accordance with agency mission and values.
- Ensure accurate billing authorizations and maintain capacity enrollment in programs.
- Pursue new development when available and fiscally positive.
- Participate in State and interagency committees and meetings as required..
- Develop, update and maintain policies and procedures and ensure training and compliance.
