SUMMARY
The Service Coordinator acts as the essential communications link between the customer and the dealership by conducting customer satisfaction calls and by making outbound service calls which produce solid and specific appointments for the service department while always representing the dealership in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential duties include the following. Other duties relative to the operations, upkeep and/or maintenance of the service center may be assigned.
- Set up appointments.
- Ensure all service calls are answered promptly and professionally.
- Take thorough messages when needed, indicating the caller’s first and last name, company name if applicable, the time, and the message the caller wishes to leave.
- Communicate messages to other appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Provide basic information to callers who have general inquires.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual.
- Conduct customer follow up calls daily.
- Develop a solid understanding or product information related to the makes and models and all major services provided by the service department.
- Have the basic understanding of how to write a repair order.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Pleasant and clear speaking voice.
- Ability to work well with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have knowledge of excel.
EDUCATION
- High School degree or GED.
EXPERIENCE
- 1 year experience in customer service preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk the showroom floor.
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must have close and distance vision.
