SUMMARY
Responsible for cleaning, moving and maintain vehicles while assisting the service department and dealership in various duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet and welcome service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Protect customer vehicles by installing plastic seat and floor covers.
- Perform alignment checks on customer vehicles.
- Drive customer vehicles waiting to be serviced to numbered parking spot, write number on key tag.
- Retrieve customer cars from parking lot and drive it into technician service bay area.
- Road test vehicles to verify problem exits and that problem was repaired.
- Drive vehicles to different areas of the dealership as directed by management.
- Provide transportation for customers.
- Pick up and drop off fleet service account vehicles.
- Clear sidewalks and other areas of snow, as directed by management.
- Help with Pre-Delivery Inspections.
- Wash cars as needed.
- Keep work area clean.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and immediately reports any and all accidents to a manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid drivers license with a company acceptable driving record
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Must be able to operate both standard and automatic vehicles
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts
- Must maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
- Previous customer service in any industry preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walking/Standing for 6 to 8 hours in a shift
- Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching and climbing
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Possess physical and manual dexterity
