This is a 10-week Summer Internship, with Full-Time Hours located on-site in Middletown, CT
SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
Commercial Loan Servicing encompasses the New Loan Onboarding and funding of Small Business, Resort Finance, Commercial Real Estate, and C&I loans; and subsequent, Quality Control and Document Management of those loans; and the continued Servicing of the commercial loan portfolio through the life of the loan relationship including but not limited to insurance monitoring, payments, advances, modifications, annual reviews, payment of insurance and real estate taxes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Summer Intern will support the Quality Control and Document Management part of the team, utilizing the Bank’s Sage Works platform, core system of record Identifi; communicating with Relationship Managers and/or Commercial Loan Administrators throughout the Quality Control process; and communicating with the Bank’s Business Intelligence area of the Bank, Sage Works platform staff, and other team members to streamline the Document Management function.
The Quality Control portion of the position will require learning and becoming familiar with various loan closing documents and reviewing those documents in accordance with the Loan Approval, Annual Review, Modification Agreement, or other required transaction documents; and communicating directly with Relationship Managers and/or Commercial Loan Administrators for any corrections required.
The Document Management portion of the position will require learning the Bank’s core system COCC, document system of record Identifi, Sage Works platform, and the document indexing and management process. Creating or contributing to a streamlined process to facilitate the most effective method for documents to reach the Bank’s system of record, Identifi will be a priority.
