Secure Shred Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shred Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our shredding truck, providing secure document destruction services to our clients. Your primary focus will be to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information while delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety. You should be reliable, punctual, and capable of lifting and loading materials as part of the shredding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the shred truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Offloading shred truck job involves physically handling and transferring paper and other materials from a shred truck to a designated area for processing.
- This may include loading bins, operating mechanical equipment, and ensuring the safe and secure disposal of shredded materials.
- Operate a mobile shredding truck to securely destroy confidential documents and materials for clients.
- This involves driving to customer locations, loading documents, operating shredding equipment, and maintaining security and safety protocols.
- The role may also include customer service, equipment maintenance, and paperwork related to document destruction.
- Must be able to drive 14' and 26' box trucks.
- Perform on-site shredding services for clients, ensuring all materials are securely destroyed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate logs of services provided, including quantities destroyed and client interactions.
- Conduct regular inspections of the shred truck to ensure it is well maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading of documents and materials as needed.
- Manage inventory of shredding supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a commercial vehicle or shred truck preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with shredding operations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the shredding or secure information destruction industry.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for truck maintenance.
