What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Advisor/Mentor position at Liberty Centre Services, Inc?
The Liberty Centre's Clubhouse provides mental health services to adults recovering from mental illness and/or substance use disorder. By utilizing the Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehab, LCS provides real opportunities to assist members in developing critical skills needed to reclaim or establish their independence in the community. Staff and members work side by side to complete Clubhouse tasks, participate in social activities, and support employment opportunities. Collaboratively, staff and members plan/prepare daily meals, complete a wide array of financial/accounting tasks, create marketing and media materials, and support each other in all other daily tasks, planning, and ideas of the Clubhouse. The Liberty Centre Clubhouse is the only Clubhouse in Nebraska accredited by Clubhouse International.
The Clubhouse is looking for a team member with the ability to support and encourage members in finding their strengths and potential through opportunities in the Clubhouse. It is essential that this person be approachable, resilient, and positive for the members we serve.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of high school diploma and demonstrated skills and competencies in the treatment of individuals with mental health disorders. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related human service or health care field is preferred or two years’ experience in direct service is preferred.
Salary : $18 - $20
