High School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching and Instruction:

• Help Plan, organize, and conduct practices and training sessions effectively.
• Teach sportspecific skills, strategies, rules, and teamwork principles.
• Assist with developing game plans and manage gameday strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.

Administrative Duties:

• Assist in scheduling games, practices, and team events.
• Submit required documentation promptly, including attendance records, injury reports, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Department on logistics for competitions and equipment.

Professional Development:

• Stay current with sportspecific coaching techniques and trends.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience or knowledge of the specified sport.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to fostering spiritual growth consistent with the school's religious mission.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant coaching certification or training (e.g., CPR, First Aid, sportspecific certifications).
• Experience working with youth or schoolbased athletic programs.

Working Conditions:

• Dynamic environment with varied hours depending on practice and game schedules.
• Physical activity required, including demonstration of skills, drills, and active participation in practices.
• Frequent interaction with students, parents, coaches, and athletic department staff.
