Atlanta Classical Academy seeks a full-time Lower School Dean. The Lower School Dean’s (LSD) role is to support the Assistant Principal in handling student discipline matters and maintaining student culture in grades K-6. The Dean will be supervised by, and report to, the Assistant Principal and the Lower School Principal when necessary. They are expected to demonstrate high moral character and have mastery of the subjects they teach. Teachers will work collaboratively to create a working and learning environment for all students that is safe, secure, and respectful.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support classroom instruction by addressing student behavior, decorum, uniforms, preparation, and attendance issues.
- Providing teacher support through observations and coaching on classroom management, creating behavior plans in partnership with teachers and student services, and semi-regular addresses to Lower School students in corporate settings (classrooms or assemblies).
- Coordinating across departments to manage student eligibility for clubs, sports, extra-curricular activities, field trips, student awards, etc.
- Regular meeting schedule with leadership, core faculty, and relevant staff. ? Fostering positive student culture on an intra-grade and inter-grade level.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Five plus years of experience in elementary education preferred.
- GA Teaching certification or paraprofessional certification preferred.
- Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
