JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing office support to the Information Technology department.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Performs general clerical duties.
- Prepares and submits invoices to accounts payable; allocates credit card purchases; collects receipts; submits purchase orders.
- Manages timecards for department personnel and ensures timely approval for payroll processing.
- Uses Microsoft programs for daily duties to include creating signs, creating binder covers, and maintaining filing systems.
- Assists Information Technology with outside offices, suppliers, departments, municipalities, community, and press.
- Answers the phones, routes calls, and greets visitors.
- Enters work tickets into a ticket management system and assigns tickets to staff members. Follows up with customers during the work process.
- Checks and delivers mail through the building and offices.
- Orders supplies and other equipment.
- Assists the Chief Information Officer in other capacities.
- Maintains departmental calendars.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
- Knowledge of current office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Knowledge of understanding of the principles and practices of Information Technology
- Knowledge of basic banking programs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed at a desk while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects and distinguishes between shades of color.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- More than one year of related experience required.
- Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license.
COMPENSATION AND WORK SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position working 28 hours per week at an hourly pay rate of $19.30. Work hours are typically 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with a 30-minute lunch. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer. The Information Technology department is located in the Public Safety Building on Liberty Street in Hinesville, Georgia.
