What are the responsibilities and job description for the SY RESSLA - Reading Intervention Teacher position at Liberty County Schools, GA?
This is not a vacancy. This is to identify the interest of retired educators to support students in our Retired Educators Supporting Student Learning Achievement (RESSLA) program. This is funded through Title I and is used at the discretion of each school's available funding and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned area.
- Prefer 10 or more years of experience in reading / langauge arts and / or extensive training and experience in reading / language arts instruction.
- The ability to work successfully with other professionals. Proven organizational skills, effective oral and written communication and strong people skills
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Physical Requirements :
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including :
Medium Work : Exerting 50 pounds of force ocassionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects.
Terms of Employment :
Salary is paid through Title I. This is based on assignments at an hourly rate : 6 weeks and no more than 19 hours per week.
Evaluation :
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the principal.
