The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and best-in-class Senior FPGA/HW Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team as we develop advanced radar and millimeter-wave based people screening platforms for the aviation and commercial markets. As part of a multi-disciplined technology development team, the ideal candidate would be responsible for teaming with our RF, Mechanical, System and Software development engineers to develop and validate new and existing designs. Responsibilities include the selection, development, and integration of FPGA’s for our system-level designs, spanning from low-level hardware control & status for embedded systems, to high-speed links, to high level IP blocks, to custom hardware-accelerated algorithms & filters.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with and 7 years of relevant working experience
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog RTL language. Experienced with FPGA developments on Altera or Xilinx devices.
- Hands on experience with lab debug equipment, such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Experience with verification methodologies, RTL and gate level simulations and debug.
- Development experience FPGA’s/Computer peripherals and I/O subsystems, including DDR memory, flash, PCIe, 1G/10G ethernet, SPI, I2C, clocking and synchronization subsystems.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the desire to take on diverse challenges.
Preferences:
- Analog and digital board development experience.
- Experience with RF, microwave or mm-wave systems is plus.
- Working experience with Artix7 and Kintex Ultrascale families.
- Experience/knowledge with MATLAB or Python.
- Working knowledge with design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
- Experience in the security technology market space
