Part Time Position
Marketing – Definition:
To perform a wide range of responsible work including but not limited to: Creating content for Website, Social media post, Newspaper, TV, Monthly Newsletter, etc. promoting LEDC, membership and the Liberty community.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Work with Director to identify topics to promote, create content and share via different outlets.
- Coordinate with City’s Public Relations staff on Economic Development content to share via different outlets.
- Connect with LEDC members to create positive stories, job openings, etc. about their business to promote via different outlets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Membership Development – Definition:
Work to grow LEDC Membership, retain existing members while looking for ways to create membership value.
· Work with Board members and Director to form a list for potential new members. Requires in person visits to members and prospects, cold calling to set up meetings to promote LEDC.
· Membership Retention, develop and maintain one-on-one relationships with existing members, set up meetings with Director. Encourage existing members to move up to the next level of membership.
· Be active in the community to represent LEDC.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Event Planning – Definition:
Work with LEDC board and Director to create and plan LEDC Events that create value and networking opportunities.
· Work with Board members and Director for ideas for Events to benefit members and promote networking.
· Work with Director on event location, then coordinate with the venue for the event.
· Send out event invites to the membership and potential new members, keep track of attendees, name badges, etc.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
At least one year of Marketing, Event Planning and/or Membership Development experience preferred.
Equivalent to a high school diploma.
Environmental Conditions:
Office environment utilizing computers and other office equipment.
Physical Conditions:
Essential and other important duties and responsibilities require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; general manual dexterity is required.
Supervision:
Receives general supervision from Director and LEDC Board.
Part Time position: 20 to 25 hours a week, flexible schedule, $18 to $22 an hour depending on qualifications
Incentive Bonus – based on net new membership dollars, discretion of Executive Board.
Position open until filled.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
