Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Commercial Lender to join the commercial lending team in Evansville, IN. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop new and maintain existing member business relationships beneficial to the credit union.
- Engage in business development activities that are intended to increase total commercial loan balances and commercial deposit accounts on an ongoing basis. This includes initiating outbound calls, working with branch personnel to increase referrals, meeting with prospective businesses, and calling on business in person to develop leads for commercial loans.
- Answer questions related to loan requests regarding required financial data and other business information, loan products, terms and structure, pricing and fees.
- Assist members and prospects with the commercial loan application process to ensure completeness of information.
- Follow up with applicants as needed regarding new or existing loans, conduct annual site visits, and secure other data necessary to perform sound credit analysis and/or loan review.
- Ensure the proper preparation and execution of all loan documents and filing of UCC, mortgage and other documents necessary to perfect liens.
- Ensure that sound lending procedures are followed. Act in compliance with the Commercial Banking Group loan policy at all times.
- Approve or deny loans based on underwriting guidelines and credit analyst recommendations.
- Conduct loan closings or attend loan closings held at title companies or attorney’s offices.
- Monitor loan portfolio, communicating directly with borrowers as appropriate.
- Manage past due collections, workouts, and default situations of portfolio.
