What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge position at LIBERTY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking an energetic Full-Time Concierge to join the Main Office team. The successful candidate will exhibit a welcoming and helpful attitude towards members and co-workers. The candidate must project a positive and professional image at all times while providing exceptional service to members. Excellent verbal communication and experience utilizing technical devices such as smart phones, tablets, etc. will be required. Previous financial institution experience is preferred. Candidates must also be available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis. The Main Office hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. If interested, please complete an application by clicking Apply.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide exceptional member service with a goal of deepening/expanding the members relationship with the credit union:
- Proactively greet members
- Ask questions, listen and ensure the member is satisfied before leaving the office
- Identify the members’ needs and offer an effective solution
- Serve as back up Member Service Representative and possibly Account Service Representative as needed
- Provide information on:
- Field of membership requirements
- Types of credit union accounts and the benefits of each
- Assist, inform and encourage members to utilize the credit union's products and services such as:
- Online Banking
- Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)
- Shared Branching
- E-Statements
- Credit Score Tool
- Answer various investment questions for members and assist with investment related problems and duties including:
- Certificate rates and terms
- Savings bond rates and inquiries
- Certificate/IRA/HSA maturity instructions
- IRA and HSA contributions/certificate purchases
- NCUA insurance questions
- Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures
- Develop a working knowledge of the credit union’s data processing system and word processing software
- Adhere to the credit union’s S.E.R.V.I.C.E. standards
- Any other duties assigned by my supervisor or management
Qualifications:
- Must have a HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to other office locations when needed
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do some heavy lifting
- Must have 1-2 years of cash handling experience
- Banking experience a plus
