What are the responsibilities and job description for the Indirect Lending Floating Processor/Underwriter position at LIBERTY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking an Indirect Float Lending Processor/Underwriter with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to join the Indirect Lending team. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as indirect loan processor
- Process and service indirect documentation from dealerships and third parties
- Verify that all new loan contracts and documentation are complete and accurate
- Fund indirect loans into the credit union's core system
- Maintain knowledge of internal and external guidelines and procedures
- Organize indirect letters and packets for daily mailings
- Assist area dealerships with payoffs on existing vehicle loans
- Support the department by answering member phone questions while providing courteous and personal service
- Organize daily mail and file miscellaneous documentation
- Serve as underwriter
- Demonstrate attention to financial details and the ability to understand established lending requirements
- Become familiar with federal and industry standards and the ability to apply them on a case-by-case basis
- Use analytical skills to evaluate the financial information presented and demonstrate flexibility in applying lending criteria
- Process and analyze loan applications in the Decision Lender platform
- Determine creditworthiness by reviewing credit reports, DTI, and unsecured ratios
- Using various evaluation tools, determine the value of collateral and LTV
- Evaluate the above information to determine if the applicant should receive the loan amount requested
- Respond to dealerships in a prompt and efficient manner with effective communication and member service skills
- Develop knowledge of the Internet, Excel, and Word processing systems
- Participate in the indirect lending holiday and rotating Saturday work schedule as requested by management
- Adhere to all credit union lending and personnel policies and procedures
- Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws and operational procedures
- Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's data processing system
- Any other duties assigned by management
