General Summary
Develops, implements, and evaluates training and development programs provided to Credit Union associates. Monitors training needs and implements programs, policies and procedures to fulfill those needs.
Essential Functions
Performs research, development and facilitation of in-house training programs to support the training needs of Credit Union associates, including technical training, product and service knowledge, compliance requirements, and the Credit Union’s Core Values, Mission, and Service Expectations.
Conducts ongoing, consistent group and individual training for both new and existing Credit Union associates.
Works with management to support and complete training goals.
Reviews training programs and suggests enhancements to improve the engagement and learning opportunities; ensuring training materials and content is relevant and achieves Credit Union goals and objectives.
Administers training records to coincide with performance management tools.
Provides updates to associates and management on technical training wants and needs.
Through in-person branch observations, and throughout all training classes, evaluates the performance of associates being trained to ensure high quality service to the members and advise management accordingly.
Maintains a strong and effective working knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and systems.
Fosters a positive, teamwork approach to model Credit Union Core Values and Service Expectations.
Meets performance objectives and expectations.
Develops and maintains an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
Assists the Credit Union on the Saturday rotation and with additional staffing needs as needed.

Actively supports our “sales and service” culture and demonstrates these skills by communicating to members the benefits and features of all our products and services.

Builds staff confidence in addressing and responding to members’ needs and concerns.
Conducts oneself in a positive, professional manner in relationship to all Credit Union activities.
Participates in community/business/volunteer related events conducting oneself in a professional manner in relationship to all Credit Union activities.
Completes ongoing in-house associate training which will enhance the Sales, Service, and technical development of the Credit Union.
Assists in any area as directed by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, HR/organizational development (or similar program) preferred
One year of experience in training facilitation is required, preferably within the financial industry. Two – five years’ experience preferred.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
Effective coaching and conflict management skills
Highly effective project management skills, time management, problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
High degree of technical and computer skills with the ability to train these skills
Exhibit a continued interest in improving technology for future growth of the credit union
