Other duties may be assigned.Understands Ford's product line by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features and by comparing and contrasting competitive modelsApproaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedures to obtain proper identification from customers before a test driveDemonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features, and explaining warranties and servicesSatisfies the transportation needs of the buyer by understanding buyers' requirements and interests and by developing rapport with the customersKnows and understands equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customerCompletes quotes and explains financing options following established dealership policiesCloses sales by overcoming objectionsPrepares sold vehicles for customer delivery before customer arrivalDelivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating featuresIntroduces customers to the service department and schedules first service appointmentFollows up on all post-delivery items to ensure all customer expectations are met.Follow up with prospective customers and return email / voicemail. QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to read and write. Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedure manualsConducts ones self in a professional manner extending every polite custom and courtesy to all customersAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customersAbility to calculate figures such as discounts, interest and percentagesBasic MS Office knowledge, computer software and internet proficiencyExcellent appearance, verbal / written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skillsEDUCATIONHigh School degree or equivalent preferredValid Drivers license that meets dealership insurability requirementsEXPERIENCEThe ideal candidate must have a strong desire to succeed. Our automotive sales representatives come from a variety of backgrounds and industries. You dont have to have automotive sales experience to be successful but you should have experience providing exceptional customer service and previous sales experience is a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to walk the sales lot and showroom to review inventory, and greet customers for at least 8 hours in a shift. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds on occasion. Must be able to push, pull, and reach with hands and arms. Must have close and distance vision. Must be able to drive company vehicles.
