Apply now and move your career forward with Liberty Auto Group.SUMMARYFunctions as a skilled technician who can diagnose and repair all areas and specialize in commercial vehicles.ESSENTIAL DUTIESEssential duties include the following. Other responsibilities relative to the service center's operations, upkeep, and / or maintenance may be assigned.Performs work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair. Road tests vehicles when required. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts and properly return unused parts. Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisorKeeps customers' cars clean and notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc. Operates all tools and equipment safely. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Participates in training programs, schools, and events Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Keep the shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.Follows all other instruction and requests of manager / supervisor.QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTSMust have tools required to perform repairs and services and use them consistent with industry standards. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to speak effectively.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference, volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
