Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for various tasks including framing, siding, and drywall installation.
- Perform construction painting and plastering as needed.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
- Assist in estimating materials required for projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction or restoration industry.
- Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
- Familiarity with hand tools including hammers, chisels, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of siding installation techniques is preferred.
- Experience in construction estimating is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
