What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Market Development Manager position at Liberty Global?
We're looking for a Senior Market Development Manager to join our Blume Business Solutions team in Denver, Colorado.
As a Business Development Manager, you will report to the VP of Transformation and lead our efforts to establish a strong presence, build relationships, and enhance our credibility in the US market. Collaborating with the Liberty Blume leadership team, you will define and implement strategies for bringing our solutions (both products and services) to market, optimising their fit, improving their design, and effectively marketing them to achieve maximum impact. Your responsibilities will include market assessment, understanding prospective customer and market demand, analysing competitors, and building lasting, trusted relationships to drive growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operational leads, M&A, and product teams, to gather and prioritise customer requirements and support both pre-sales and post-sales processes. Additionally, you will measure prospective customer demand and contribute to solution packaging, pricing strategies, customer success, and product delivery.
Our Growth Strategy :
A key component of our 2025 growth strategy is to establish a strong presence in the US market, the largest consumer of GBS services globally, with an annual spend of approximately $115 billion out of a $350 billion global market, and a projected CAGR of 9.4%. Currently, BBS serves around 14 customers across the UK and EU, spanning 8 countries and 5 languages, all managed from Bradford, UK. Our parent company, LG Group, has a corporate office in Denver, Colorado, which will serve as the launchpad for BBS's entry into the US market.
What will you be doing?
- Expand into the US market by developing a robust sales pipeline, identifying sales opportunities, and converting leads to successfully grow our business. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering solutions that meet or exceed their expectations and continue to perform over time.
- Establish a network of potential customers in sectors such as telecommunications, media, utilities, and other relevant industries, building strong relationships that can lead to sales opportunities.
- Identify and participate in forums, conferences, and events that will enhance BBS's credibility and brand presence in the US market. Develop strategies to maintain long-term interest across target segments and create engagement solutions to build a credible community of prospects.
- Conduct market research, user studies, and competitor analysis to identify market needs and opportunities. Evaluate consumption trends, usability, model volumes, and potential restrictions or exceptions.
- Facilitate presales demonstrations, pitches, and trials of solutions to US prospects with the BBS team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, technology, design, marketing, sales, commercial, and operations to shape key features of our offerings and generate profitable sales.
- Support product launches by working closely with the GOTM team, marketing, and operational teams to ensure successful execution and adoption.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective customers, providing a trusted presence who can meet prospects anywhere in the US and is prepared to travel to LATAM, EU, or the UK to coordinate with the wider Liberty Blume and BBS teams.
