Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist with the direction of nursing services for our unit.
- The successful candidate will delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- The LPN will observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse change.
- They will assist with notifying attending physicians of emergencies and deaths, implement changes in orders as instructed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A High school graduate with a valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification yearly and willingness to work as charge nurses and during emergencies.
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
