GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Full Time, Days
JOB SUMMARY:
- Work with team members to establish needs and create content using appropriate software meeting the brand standards of the organization and community and specification of third parties. Content may include logo design, advertisements for media outlets, event invitations, digital content, newsletters, websites, print publications, stationary, video and more •Be proactive in meeting all deadlines, ensuring projects are designed for proof, released and approved on time.
- Coordinate with all team members and effectively communicate schedule expectation
- Collaborate with in-house staff, 3rd party vendors and agencies to ensure deadlines are met
- Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used
- Help make design choices (i.e. fonts, color, etc.) for all projects and content created
- Properly save and maintain designs
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College graduate with a degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, art or related field preferred
- Experience in graphic design and solid understanding of the creative development process
- Proficient of industry-standard software to create logos, designs, reports and other projects
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices
- Ability to work effectively with other team members to produce content and designs
- Must have proven skills in working independently, be self-motivated and goal oriented
- Exhibit patience and excellent at managing stress and pressure
- Demonstrated organization and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive results in diverse client and vendor teams
- Must be a mission driven team player interested in supporting the needs of colleagues as well as 3rd party vendors
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Manager Software and other industry-standard software programs
