Job Summary:
Assist the Registered Nurse in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor work performance. Observe patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and mental condition for signs indicative of adverse change. Notify attending physicians of emergencies and death of patients, and implement changes in orders as instructed.

Requirements:
High school graduate with a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing. CPR certification is required yearly, and attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings is expected.
