We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a full-time basis, working nights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Observe patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse change.
- Notify attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal submitted every two years.
- Willingness to work as charge nurses and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification maintained annually.
- Attendance at in-service training and staff meetings as required.
