Description

Organization Overview:

Liberty Hill Foundation is at the forefront of advancing justice and equity in Los Angeles County, working to build power in communities most affected by systemic oppression. This is a pivotal moment in Liberty Hill’s evolution, offering new opportunities to shape the future of social justice in Los Angeles County and beyond.

Position Overview:

The position will serve as the primary Liberty Hill employee responsible for tracking activities and outcomes of Stay Housed LA, and will report to the Senior Director of Programs. The desired outcome is to coordinate data management activities for Stay Housed LA immediately, and gradually to take on 100% of the data management responsibilities associated with Stay Housed LA by the end of June 2026. Success looks like acquiring this expertise and building the partnerships needed to coordinate data collection and management from community-based organizations both effectively and efficiently.

What you will do:

  • Help manage the implementation of the Stay Housed LA Program along with Liberty Hill staff and other coalition staff.
  • Responsible for monitoring program outcomes and coordinating with all project subcontractors to communicate progress toward program goals.
  • Maintain Tableau dashboards and monthly grant reporting by developing efficient systems to collect data and produce timely reports.
  • Work with subcontractor IT and grants staff to help upgrade their technology/case management systems in ways that support program development.
  • Cleaning up and combining Stay Housed LA subcontractor data into a single database, highlighting cases that need to be revised/reviewed by subcontractors.
  • Working with technology vendors to develop and build upon shared infrastructure to receive tenant intakes for legal support through the program website and refer them to legal service providers.
  • Assisting with relevant research projects that involve Stay Housed LA data, including pulling regular reports and aggregating trends and other research tasks as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with the Stay Housed LA team, especially subcontractor outreach managers, Stay Housed LA program admin team members, and funders.
  • Managing data flow from CBO’s to LHF and eventually to funders.
  • Hold CBO’s accountable for submissions.
  • Other duties as needed; while this position is currently funded through a Housing Justice contract (Stay Housed LA), this position may support additional Liberty Hill programs in the future.

Requirements

What you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for personal lived/professional experience.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit or government.
  • 3 years of experience with data collection and analysis.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Index-Match), Tableau Prep Builder, and Tableau Dashboards.
  • Strong data coordination skills across CBO’s.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated database skills; ability to learn multiple database systems used by government agencies and partner organizations.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with legal service providers, community-based organizations, and government agencies.
  • Self-starter with initiative to overcome obstacles and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Demonstrated success in data collection/management, statistical analysis, and data quality assessments including in large coalitions involving both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate and learn various software; specifically Slack, Asana, and SharePoint.
  • Commitment to social and racial justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Physical demands:

  • Ability to operate a remote workstation and laptop/screen for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel for in-person co-working, meetings, events and live in Los Angeles County.
