What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biomedical Technician II position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: Recommend and advise on the procurement of patient-associated equipment and systems. Testing and maintenance of equipment and systems. Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedule of equipment and systems. Calibration and repair of medical equipment and systems. Record and document all activities pertinent to Biomedical Engineering in accordance with TJC Standards and applicable codes. Serve as a resource to staff and the healthcare team.
Required Education/Training: AA Degree in electronics/biomedical technology or military/experience equivalent
Required Experience: 3-5 years experience as a biomedical technician working in a hospital/clinical setting
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: International Code Council (ICC) certification: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
