What are the responsibilities and job description for the EP Nurse Practitioner/Specialty [Liberty Cardiovascular Specialists] position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates activities to optimize outcomes for electrophysiology (EP) patients. Coordinates collection and analysis of data as it relates to electrophysiology patient population. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and support staff to implement quality initiatives to optimize patient outcomes. Manages care for electrophysiology inpatients and outpatients, including assessment, evaluation, education & development of individualized plan of care. Orders and monitors diagnostic tests. Recommends lifestyle modification. With prescriptive authority, may order and adjust medications. Participates with physician in developing strategies for alternative care options. In addition, this position requires interpersonal skills to relate to the physician, patient, family members, ancillary personnel, and hospital personnel in a professional and appropriate manner.
Required Experience: Minimum two (2) years hospital or clinic-based cardiology experience
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Missouri Registered Professional Nurse; current Missouri Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Status; BLS; ACLS
Preferred Experience: Experience working with a cardiologist in a hospital-based and office-based environment
