What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Engineer position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: Operating and maintenance of the physical plant including, but not limited to, steam boilers, air handling units, air conditioning and support equipment, emergency generators and electrical distribution system. Equipment retrofit and remodeling projects on existing facilities. General and preventive maintenance of all in-house systems and equipment. Testing and treatment of the hospital's various water systems.
Required Education/Training: High school or GED
Required Experience: None
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license
Preferred Education/Training: Trade/vocational school in 1 or more of the engineering disciplines; some college coursework
Preferred Experience: Two (2) years in plant engineering/maintenance, specifically working with boilers and chillers
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: K.C. Operating Engineer's License helpful; familiarity with building/fire codes and TJC Standards
