What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Unit Supervisor [Emergency Department] position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Nursing Supervisor is assigned to a designated clinical area to assist in assuring a patient/family focused environment. The Nursing Supervisor provides direction, coordinates care, serves as a resource and acts as a role model for staff to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care. Works under the direction of the Director and/or Manager to develop, implement and evaluate systems that promote cost-effective, quality patient care. Quality patient care is defined as care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable, patient-centered and evidence-based.
Required Education/Training: Graduate of a school of nursing
Required Experience: Minimum three (3) years' clinical nursing experience; advanced training and experience in specialty
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse license with eligibility to work in the state of Missouri; BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); ACLS
Preferred Education/Training: BSN; MSN; graduate from an accredited nursing program
Preferred Experience: Served in leadership role
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: Emergency Nursing (CEN); Critical Care (CCRN); ENPC or PALS; TNCC
