What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist [Therapy @ Norterre] position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: Responsible for the delivery of professional occupational therapy services, which will address the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, developmental, and age-appropriate needs of each individual patient/family. Assists patients in achieving optimum levels of functioning in self-care, work, school, and homemaking and/or leisure activities. Under the direction of the physician, the occupational therapist plans a therapeutic program to develop the patient's motor, cognitive, sensory-integrative, psychological, and social functioning needs. Occupational therapists will utilize physical means of sound, light, electricity, water, heat, cold, exercise, splinting, and manual interventions. Therapist will be responsible for documenting care plan, rehabilitative potential, and discharge planning needs. Evaluates and provides treatment, implements and coordinates care with team members.
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Missouri Licensed Occupational Therapist, Lymphedema Certification and BLS
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: Manual Therapy Certification; Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute (ATRI) Certification
