What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Coach / Behavioral Health Technician position at Liberty House Recovery Center?
Liberty House Recovery Center is hiring a peer recovery coach/ behavioral health tech. This position is a part time position with the opportunity to quickly move into a full time position.
Personal recovery experience and creativity is highly valued. This position requires responsibility, leadership, good decision making and ability to take initiative. Recovery Coaches and/or personal recovery experience is a major plus. Recovery Coach certificate is preferred but not required.
Minimum Requirements:
· 1 year of addiction treatment work or related field
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Excellent communication skills
· MUST have a clear understanding of Code of Ethics/ professional boundaries
· Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations, including The Joint Commission
· Valid Driver’s License
· Up to date CPR certification, or completed within the first 30 days of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Maintaining a safe environment for the residents to thrive in their recovery.
Job Duties
· Implement rules, policies and guidelines consistently, and orient residents to the program rules
· Document client location and activity hourly
· Support line of authority, following through on all directives left by supervisors, and maintain positive attitude in work environment
· Maintain professionalism in interactions with staff and residents at all times, and exercise maturity of judgment with boundaries
· Attend and participate in all staff meetings, in service trainings, and special occasions for residents
· Report any crisis, incidents or serious concerns to supervisor immediately, using the proper report forms and communication logs
· Familiarization with resident charts and all pertinent resident information at all times
· Audit resident charts to ensure completeness
· Support resident treatment goals as identified by the treatment team
· Provide Transportation for residents
· Orient new staff at change of shift
· Other office duties as needed
