Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently move materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a smooth operation.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate placement of goods.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating heavy equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting.
• Proficient in operating forklifts, cranes, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications related to forklift operation.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
