Position Objective – Driver: The primary role of the Driver is to make deliveries to customers in a timely and professional manner, adhering to company established guidelines for deliveries. The responsibilities of the Driver are:
1. Make deliveries to customers in a timely fashion, calling the customer before each delivery and adhering to the company established guidelines for deliveries.
2. Keeping the trucks stocked, cleaned and maintained on a daily basis and following the procedures for tracking all maintenance.
3. Be the “front line” of customer service for our organization and represent us in a positive fashion with our customers. Every time you put on our uniform and make a delivery you are representing our business and your co-workers. Be courteous, respectful, helpful and as cleanly presentable as possible.
4. Assist the customer to the best of your ability if they have questions about their projects or their yard when you are making deliveries.
5. Assisting in some installation projects, follow directions of design consultant, salesperson, or project manager for each installation.
6. When not making deliveries or assisting on installation projects, the driver will be asked to help in the yard with various tasks that need to be completed.
7. Drivers are required to have a working cell phone, vehicle charger and wireless headset so they can communicate with the office at all times safely and in accordance with the law.
8. Drivers must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to, being able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and climb in and out of the vehicles. This can, at times, be a physically demanding job.
9. Drivers are expected to have a valid driver’s license, any other documents required by law to drive (including a DOT medical card) and understand the limitations of the equipment they are driving.

13. Maintain store appearance by vacuuming, emptying trash cans, cleaning counters and windows, straightening showroom, update in-store merchandising and keeping area neat.
14. Solve problems to the best of your ability as they arise. There are not many emergencies in this business so many situations need to be dealt with reasonably until they can be discussed with ownership and a permanent solution can be established. Most important, if you’re not sure ask and never be afraid to tell the customer you don’t know.
15. Adhere to strict confidentiality of company financial figures, including our cost, profit margins and gross sales. Violation of this policy is subject to immediate termination.
16. Keep track of time on PayCor automated time clock system.

18. Other duties as assigned. Hourly Expectations: Typically, the driver position is 40 hours/week, although some exceptions may occur due to weather, customer needs or other situations. Exact start times are determined by your manager and may depend on weather, sunlight, project demands and other factors. Finish time each day will depend on job progress, commitments made to the customer and other scheduling factors. Flexibility will be required. This job will typically be 40 hours per week but could fluctuate some in either direction.
