Job Title: Associate Attorney - Criminal Defense

Our rapidly-growing law practice is looking to add an Post Trial Attorney to our dynamic team. We will provide the training and resources to help you flourish in your role in our tight-knit, supportive, and passionate legal team.
As this position is primarily virtual, candidates may reside anywhere in PA. However, candidates must be willing to travel to court hearings, as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Handle post-trial litigation throughout various counties in PA, including direct appeals, Post-Conviction Relief Act (PCRA) petitions, and other post trial filings.
- Analyze trial records, identify legal errors, and craft compelling appellate arguments.
- Draft legal motions, briefs, and petitions for state and federal courts.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on evolving case law.
- Represent clients in post-conviction hearings and oral arguments.
- Collaborate with trial attorneys to preserve appellate issues and develop legal strategies.
- Advise clients and their families on post-trial options and case progress.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and judicial officers.
- Participate in firm growth and business development activities.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant court experience.
- Reliable Transportation
- Proven experience in criminal defense and post-trial proceedings.
- Exceptional litigation skills with the ability to manage a high caseload.
- Excellent court presence and professional demeanor.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
